Shop the Alameda Flea with Me — October 2013 part one

Image

This Campbell’s can was my prize purchase at October’s Alameda Vintage Flea Market. Often I snap photos of things I admire in a stealth style, nervous that the vendors don’t want pictures taken, they want you to BUY the stuff.

But in this instance, I had already counter-offered the vendor’s first price, declined it as too high, and walked away. When he saw me come back and take a quick pic to remember the treasure by, he was so moved by my obvious interest in the can that he accepted my lower price. Hurrah!

Here are other treasures I admired this month, and unfortunately, no other vendors reacted in the same way as the Campbell’s can man.
